The Professional Herbalist Course is focused on gaining knowledge about the herbal therapeutics for each body system, specific healing properties of over two hundred individual herbs and basic principles of herbalism from the Traditional Chinese, Ayurvedic and Western herbal traditions.
Classes in module 3 will focus on Materia Medica (study of specific herb properties), Western Herbal Energetics, Herbal Preparations, the Skin and Topical Therapies, Plant Chemistry, Chinese and Ayurvedic herbalism, the Reproductive, Musculoskelatal, Immune, and Endocrine systems. Also covered will be herbalism of the young and elderly and Integrative Healing: diet, cleansing, and herbal hydrotherapy. After taking this course, you will have a greater understanding, and knowledge of herbalism, and the confidence to help people create health in their lives.
The online course is affiliated with and offered through CLIMB at Portland Community College (PCC). The online course through PCC has the same curriculum as the in-person courses and is taught by K.P. khalsa. You can take the modules in any order, so if you haven't taken module 1 yet, that is just fine.

Times: The online program has 2 lecture times, one for East Coast students, and one for West Coast students, so anyone can find a convenient time to attend online lecture and discussion.
- Wednesdays: Lecture 2:00 - 4:00pm (PST), or
- Wednesdays: Lecture 5:30 - 7:30pm (PST)
